Bah, I love my country and am willing to pay the tax it comes with. I am a republican but truly convinced McCain can't run a country. I'd rather pay high taxes than have high inflation and the dollar be worth nothing world wide.

Bad republican candidate this round, Obama is a great intelligent man, although I don't agree with him on everything.

McCain and Palin have made this a game, its not about the winners - its about fixing the country and replacing its values and assets.

LOL. He is not raising taxes on anyone that makes under $250,000. You are "strongly convinced" that he will raise it for people making less. Explain how you are strongly convinced. He wants to change the tax rate for those who make $250,000 and above from 35% to 39%. There are other tax increases on capital gains but are all for the very wealthy. If you make less than 250K, you have nothing to worry about, and there is NOTHING out there that says you should.

Unfortunately I get my news and information from many sources, not from Democrats only as you suggest. I went into this entire election completely open.

OBAMA FTW tomorrow!

Some food for thought:

Obama, seems the most intelligent. Did that online test that was posted here not too long ago, McCain didnt even make top 3 for me. If McCain comes in power, America is f00ked.

its SOOO soon, I really hope America make the correct choice for once! I would vote for Obama, but tbh, a lot of the stuff he wants to do IS a bit stupid. But there is no way McCain can run America, hes just an absolute plonker!

I'm having a problem voting for either one. Like the last presidential election, I feel like I'm choosing the lesser of two evils.

I tend to lean more toward Republican stances. Mainly because I'm conservative, socially and fiscally. However, McCain is hardly a social conservative and the Republican party is becoming a spend-free lot.

Obama, well, I can only say that I am in no way, shape or form a socialist. I truly believe what makes America great is our capitalistic economy. This whole thing of 'spreading the wealth' is simply put, communism at it's core. While the whole class warfare thing has hit a nerve, it's promise of helping the poor by taxing the rich has never worked. I don't believe in the politics of envy and that is what the Obama-Biden ticket is running on.

Honestly, if I were sure that Barr (Libertarian) could win, my vote would go to him. He is the best candidate, by far, in terms of the economic issues. Sadly, neither the Dems nor Reps have a plan that will work.

I also firmly believe that America's hope doesn't lie in Obama or McCain or any other suit in DC, but in the collars and boot straps of the people that make up this country. Americans need to be reminded of that, however, it's getting more common to look to government for solutions that ourselves. That is not how this country was founded.

I sort of agree. However, BOTH Obama and Mcain have said that it will need to be a full effort from the country and no, one man, can save the economy. I don't agree that the tactic of spreading wealth is a communist one, by any means.

A more fairly spread income/wealth will deffinetly help the economy work to it's capacity. I also think that morally, it is the correct thing to do, it's such a shame that there is so much poverty in such a rich country.

Although, morals don't really come into it and may force inefficient economic policies in the short run, in the long run it will help the stability of the American economy and improve things such as the marginal product of labour (MPL) - thus growing the economy.

Let me know what you think about that

EDIT: forgot to add why I'm supporting Obama. Basically, I believe that the economic situation will be countered within the next few years, although I think there will be hard times to come. However, I believe that the government NEEDS to get involved, its proven that leaving markets to work without government intervention might not ALWAYS be the correct move, in reality and that is where Obama and Mcain really differ for me.

On other topics, I much prefer Obama's foreign policy ideas. The Bush administration has DESTROYED opinion on America through out the world, trust me, even the English hate y'all! Mcain, would flush it down the ****ter. Although aggressive foreign policy may be good for the economic security of a large economy such as America's, it is starting to work against them and will continue to with Mcain in charge!

Village: I'm not going to debate Obamas policies with you, but I just want to note something.

This map I played with was only affiliated with CNN because it had their brand name on it. I could do whatever I want with it. I switched the way many states voted, gave all swing states to McCain and even some dem. leaning states, and he still didn't have enough. None of the polls for the data was online polls, that I believe.

Also, I'll agree that Obama doesn't have the kind of political experience McCain has. You would have to be an idiot to even try to argue he does. However, I'll turn it around on you. What about Biden vs. Palin?
