I just got a four-pipe hookah, nearly a metre high. It's pretty awesome. Really great when you've got friends round, very enjoyable and social.
People that don't know what it is: don't be under the illusion that it is a drug. You don't get any sort of rush from it, it's just fruit-flavoured smoke.

It's actually filtered by the water, I don't think it has anything to do with cooling it. Ever see the water when you're done smoking hookah? It's brownish...that's why.
I enjoy a nice hookah every once in a while.

yeah the water is used to filter it. I do it as a social thing...me and my friends all hang out and just smoke it as we talk.

It's not weed in every case, but some of my friends do use it for that, or at least something that looks like a hookah with he 4 tubes and everything.

The water is for filtering but we also put ice in it to make the smoke cold.
Has anyone here heard the term hookahed used before? e.g I'm so hookahed out right now.

yeah we put ice in it sometimes.
"hookahed" doesnt really make sense unless you say like "we hookahed a while ago."

I've used a Hookah several times at a local Turkish bar/restaraunt - As a pretty heavy smoker anyway, I prefer hand rolled smokes (including flavoured tobaccos) and do appreciate the ole Hookah now and then

Well filtering it through water does cool it down. Try smoking it without the water and it will burn your throat like crazy.

yeah, the water does cool it down, thats why it is so smooth, blow the smoke onto your hand, it is cold.

Hookah is flavored tobacco. Nothing illegal, no weed. I haven't smoke hookah in a while even thought I have some.
