Old  Got ripped off by YOUNGGOGETTER.COM

Hi everyone,

sorry if this is in the wrong section but i have just being ripped off by www.younggogetter.com. They posted on sitepoint in the market place about 5 months ago, requireing a coder to develope there latest site. I have spent 4 weeks working on there site after signing a online contract with them i was asked to upload he forum that i had done for them and when all bugs are cured i was told payment would be sent. Now with me signing a online contract i was dumb enough to to beleive that i would get my money so i went and uploaded it. I came back to my pc this morning to do the final touches and bam, the site was no longer there ... or should i say the new site was no longer there, there old one is still online and still active. What can i do about this, i have being ripped off and as of this i am giving in anything to do with the internet or working for clients and as you can gether i am totaly gutted and feel a total ideot. I know whats coming but i would like some advice on what i can do ... if anything and i want it to go down on the internet that YOUNGGOGETTER.COM are SCAMERS ... anyone who reads this DO NOT !!!! work with them and DO NOT have anything to do with them.

Although this doesnt really help your current situation, in the future - always ask for half of the money upfront, or some sort of deposit.

I have one very important rule when it comes to custom online work. Get a phone number.

If they do not give out a phone number it is prolly best to avoid them. Also the whole contract thing as well.

spamming the forum isnt going to do anything... that was just a stupid comment to make.

anyways, how old are you? cause unless your 18 you cant sign into a legal binding contract anyways and was your mistake in doing so.

all you can do is attempt to tell mommy and daddy and sue but probally wont go anywhere. i can only suggest try to talk to them or well i never suggest hacking so yeah.

Hacking, or Spamming is pretty stupid if you asked me. Warning others like you did is prefectly fine. Do you want to be know on the web as the person who hacks your site or spams your forum if you dont get what you want?

If you ask me, If i found out someone I was about to hire did that. I'd drop him so fast and find someone new.

I'd suggest you suck it up, learn from the mistake and make sure next time you have a legaly binding contract, get a phone number, and do a search on the next person you work for, or hire.

Losing money sucks. Everyone runs into a low life sometime.
