Look at this..

I'm now working full time, so I don't have much time for my own football community. So, I seek Banner Galore help to design the banners. I opted for the Banner Combo which cost $57.

This is the email I get after making payment.

Today is 9/19/2007 at 7.42 AM.
David has not started the design yet. He only add me to MSN an hour ago. Probably overload with work? If so, fair enough. I'm not too particular about that. If he finishes the design within 48 hours, I would be happy. He did about 3 - 4 drafts on the spot (around 30 minutes). So, I inform him that I'm not impress with the banners at all. Its either the fonts are too big or the colors combinations doesn't match. And it look pretty basic. This is the last design he created: http://imgboost.com/i.php?id=11901591590i. Again, I request some changes as I'm not satisfied with it yet. I don't like the 'Click Here' image nor do I like the curve in the middle. Even when I told him to make the text smaller, the font size remain unchanged.

The trouble start after this.

My question is. Does that give him the right to be so rude? I was patient with him throughout and was never rude in a way or another.

Of course I refer him to banners he did previously (from his portfolio) and expect something similar. But what I was getting is totally different. Anyway, he is the designer isn't it. He's supposed to conceptualise the design for me.

I did not ask him to start work at 12.30am. And its 7.20am my time. I woke up early to be called a dumbass. He certainly ruin my day.

So yeah, I gotten a refund through Paypal. No complain about that until I received his last message through email:

You have been refunded, if you use any of the images we created, we will contact your service provider for theft of copyright images.

I reply back saying the images used in the drafts were taken from my forum's photo gallery and another site I refer him to. The background he created has been reuse countless times by designers and that it can be found in Photoshop tutorials.

Probably my fault though. But I'm keen to know what you guys think of this? I will probably get BannersMall.com after this incident. Is this a good company? Budget is low $xxx.

Should of asked for a refund after the 3rd day, if you talk the talk, then walk the walk, as simple as that.

I am a patient man.

I wouldn't really trust someone who taks like that to a client to give good results. Very unprofessional, he has no right to ne rude to you, ecspecially when he is giving you crap like those.

edit: also try looking around TFL, there are a few cheap banner makers that have really good results. I also may need a banner design to add to my portfolio so if you hit me up with some details I could probably make you one form free.

Is he a member in this forum? If so, I'm happily waiting for his backlash here.
