Old  A Time To Use Tables?

I'm currently developing a site that will be driven by a mysql backend... With articles/tutorials and the like...
I'm just wondering, at this point if it will be worth it to create a tableless design, or use tables where i need them, being that the site is going to be driven by tabular data..
Which would be most efficient?

Use Div's for non-tabular data.
Use Tabes for tabular data.

I don't see a problem with tables.
The majority feel CSS tabless designs are better.
So all the designs I create are tableless.

Depending on how you use the table for the layout
is important and adding unecessary code minimizing
the wireframe layout keeping in mind optimization.

databse tables don't count as tablature data. tablature data is something that is displayed within a table; the periodic table for example.

basically if a new row is a new set of data its tabular data

eg the member list here, each member as a set of data and a new row within the member list
