1,000 Uniques a Day * Announcement *
www.HaloTages.com has decided that it is going to allow announcements on our site. When we announce our site they are clicked over 1,000 times. These announcements will be for 24 hours. Their will only be one advertisment announcement at a time. We will announce any kind of site, no matter what it is people will click it.

arent visits & uniques different? my awstats show unique visitors in a different column that visits.

Nope.
Number of Visits = Daily Uniques
Break down..
Number of Visits = Unique visitors (I.P. Logged)
Pages = How many pages were loaded on that day. (not 100% sure)
Hits = How many times a page was refreshed. (non-I.P. based)

Nope.
Add up the number of visits you get each day for a certain month, and compare it with the monthly data chart of that month. You'll see that it doesn't add up to the amount of uniques, it adds up to the number of visits. Anyways everything is color coded for a reason. If you don't believe me, try it out for yourself.

I've always understood that visits and uniques were not the same. Maybe I'm wrong.

No, you're right. Visits are individual page views, uniques are unique IPs or something like that in a period of 24 or 48 hours maybe more maybe less, can't remember. But anyways lets stop trashing this guys thread and let him correct it.
