Shade:: <--- Introduction
Hello, i'm Shade. I'm new here, i found this site thru a graphic design community. I'm the Design Director for the atlanta branch of DeezignInk. I've been in the world of graphic design for about 8 years, and proggramming for 13 years. However i try to stay away from code if it's possible now, i prefer to design over code. Anyways, just saying hello

no you weren't, i was mearly stating that every design, doesn't go for $4000+
a vector logo can easily go for $400 depending on quality ETC.

By offering your services so cheap, it not only hurts you but it hurts all designers, why pay $7,000 for a logo when this guy over here will do it for $15! Obviously wont be nearly as good, but hey it's $6,985 less, so it might be worth it?!?!?!?! Seriously....

not a good way to join the community, what are you gonna do contact everyone on the forum who uses low pricing with aggressive PMs?

not only would you ahve no-one selling to you, you will be very unpopular in this community.
next time yeah, look around the forum before jumping to rash decisions about people, i am a respected designer, and my prices are low because i am a full tim student, and so maybe my designs aren't as good as they could be!

That is what i was talking about if anybody cared to know :shrug:
Btw 'respected designer guy' that was complete sattire, i looked at your portfolio, i wouldnt outsource to you
Btw guys, i'm some what blunt, but i'm actually really a nice guy once u get to know me!! :P

Depends on what you mean by dirtcheap. I work for around $40 an hour for the members here, not bad for sideline stuff.

Glad to hear it, $40 an hour for a freelancer is deffinantly within the correct pricing. If you read the quotes from the pm i had with 'Respected graphic Designer' then you'll see what i meant. I was seeing logos going for $15, websites for only $75 and all sorts of stuff like that, i think i might have died a little inside when i saw people with those prices being serious lol.

It totally depends on the quality of work. Earlier you stated:

That is a very silly comment to make, in my opinion. To say that a website should never sell bellow $500 is preposterous. It depends on the quality of the design and the coding.
Most sales on Talkfreelance are fairly low, but there are a few websites which sell for a lot of money. We also have some fantastic designers and coders. If you're willing to plash out a little, you'll get more than what you pay for.

Im sorry but, i did one thread where i offered $15 logos for 1 week its called a promotion, you cannot half read one thread, then expect that to be "my pricing". Yes i charge $70 a webpage and $15 for a subpage. this is because i am a full-time student and am doing this as a job on the side.
You made some silly comments about pricing and said i "shamed" the forums. Also it would be great if you looked up the meaning of "Private Messaging".
