On a bad day its around 15-17mbps down, normally its around 20-25. Up-speed is pretty consistently 3mbps. I don't mind the variance because I'm on Comcast's 12mbps plan.

Do you know speedtest.net? If no...then you should try it. The best tool to check network connection speed...

I live in one of the slowest areas of broadband in the UK but surprisingly my speed is 6960 Kbps (6Mb) and upload is 314 Kbps. Upload is pretty poor as you can see but meh.
