Photoshop takes about 2 secs at max to load, play games at the best speed i've seen, watch videos in seconds, download music in wtf no secs, and wow. Why would i buy a mac? Stop, don't answer it. no one cares about your foolish comments on vista / mac. Oh, but btw, macs freeze up way more then PC's. (i have heavy experience).
I have the same computer as you, and it does not load Photoshop in 2 seconds, hell 30 seconds MINIMUM.

Last time my computer froze was in March, I remember playing BF2142, and guess what that was on a PC.

Cory what OS where you to run? :S

With Vista, Your PC s gonna freeze up more frequently. Least Apple release updates REGULARLY so your Mac will stay stable...

I'd go with the Dell, but it really depends on what you like, we can't decide for you.

If you prefer OSX over XP for example, it also depends what games you play (BF2, CS and a few other games can play on a Mac. I'm sure there are more but I can't remember all of them). There are several factors that you should base your opinions on, and all those factors are related to what you prefer, not what we think.

Exactly, although I am sure a decent PC will run those games, better, a Macbook can do the job and you can do a lot of things a PC can't do...to me it's more worth it to suffer a bit whilst playing games.

Do enlighten us. With something useful that one would need to use on a regular basis.
That also cannot be achieved at all using Windows.

Running any Mac application, you can't do that on a Windows system. On a Mac you can run both. Not sure what more you need.

What on earth do you do with your computer for it to take that long? No offence, but you must browse porn all day and download any old random crap for a PC of THAT spec to be as slow as you are saying.

I thought i would put it to the test and load up Photoshop on my laptop...it took 6 seconds (and no I haven't had it loaded up since the last time I turned it on).

I have no clue why my computer is taking that long, could it be that I don't even use it anymore? Could be, but still no excuses for that long.
