Lies. That can be done from any OS.

But you're right, no one can empty your pocket book quite as fast as a mac.

New Alt-Tab feature on vista does the F9 thing.
D-Tools takes about 1 minute to download and install - Hence i don't give a ****.
Nero does everything I need, I don't care that it's 3rd party.
Why would i need to read a mac formatted drive?
I believe that's called "Alt-Tabbing" on windows
I can run iTunes and WMP at the same time on my PC
You can hack a wireless network on anything if you want to.

Well if you wanna compare the Vista to OSX, vista seems like a out dated piece of Junk.
First off, Aero is the world's slowest GUI. Plus you need a super good computer in order to just use Vista. OMG, not even the apps. OS X runs fine on 512mb and G4 CPU.
Leopard automatically back up's files to a HD, without using a 3rd party app. Leopard also has spaces (no Vista doesn't have something like it) which is handy. Quick look is another Handy App which again, VISTA DOESN'T HAVE. Vista also doesn't have cool app's like Photoboth and it doesn't have any app's compared to iLife (well apart from iMovie, since the latest version sucks) Do you want more info?

My Dell XPS 400, 3GB of ram and a 512MB graphics card ATI 1600x, with Vista installed. Is **** I can't play games, photoshop takes 2 minutes to load, windows has crap software for photos and media. Although nothing is wrong with their browsers, they just suck, no explanation needed. Safari on Windows loaded faster for me then IE7.

With a Mac, I can load photoshop in 15 seconds with 2 gb of ram, it has great software, I mean great, easy to make your own effective ones too. It's far more pleasing, I can give a rats ass if you think that doesn't matter or it shouldn't be compared to Vista. I can play Halo, although it doesn't need much to run it FINE with 30fps, with NO graphics card, but onboard. I can change the harddrive, the ram and add external hd's if needed. Although pc's are much more expandable I will give it that.

I can still run Windows Vista about better then I could on my own dedicated machine for it. Although obviously it can almost never be better, it will never fail to impress me that it's not far behind.

===============

Back on-topic, Cory I recommend the Macbook, as I can barely play games on my Dell XPS, let alone a laptop I doubt it much. The macbook has great software for small little prices, except for Photoshop, which will soon be potentially slowed down by Pixelmator as it has a decent feature list as so you will still be able to design.

Although you have experience with both if I remember, so the choice is yours.

This thread needs a Fanboy Warning. I've never seen such Apple d'ck-sucking in my life.

Get the Dell.
Unless you want to blow all your money following the crowd.

He asked about what he should get, last time I checked. I have both, I run Vista on both, Vista seems to run better for me on my Mac, so I told him.

If you consider that fanboyism, so be it, at least I am telling him why and backing up my suggestions.

Anyhow, I am not sure why Cory made this thread, as I am sure he knows all that he needs to know to make a wise decision.

Wewt, another ZOMG VIST AND ZOMG WEWT MAC FTW topic!

<--- has dell xps 400 with windows media. You can't get any better. Photoshop takes about 2 secs at max to load, play games at the best speed i've seen, watch videos in seconds, download music in wtf no secs, and wow. Why would i buy a mac? Stop, don't answer it. no one cares about your foolish comments on vista / mac. Oh, but btw, macs freeze up way more then PC's. (i have heavy experience).
