The processor is low end, the graphics card is ok. It wont be good for gaming.

I'm not really looking for it to be an extreme gaming computer. The computer I have right now with the X1300PRO can handle CS:S and HL2.

thats about what that could do, but dont expect stalker or anything like to run well on it.

I am running on the AMD Athlon FX-55 and it runs games like a dream. I'd up the RAM another gig and get a slightly better GFX card.

The Pentium Core 2 Duo series have generally been proven to perform much better in most tasks ( especially graphical tasks ), so maybe you should choose Pentium (E6600 is very popular 'cause they overclock well).

And if you want a GFX card that's going to last, then one of the cheaper 8800 series might suit you.

Also, yeah, 2GB RAM is really standard these days - especially graphics design if you're into that.
