Old  5 Reasons Freelancers Need to Blog

Many freelancers don’t see the almost symbiotic relationship between blogging and freelancing. They don’t see the vast, untold advantages it can have on their business. They don’t see any of it, they see it as futile and “a waste of time”. Well, let me tell you...

Great article. Freelancers should have blogs and this makes me want to update my blog.

I feel like if you don't blog well (consistent/scheduled, thoughtful, adding actual value to the topic) then you shouldn't do it. Your portfolio and the prose contained therein should promote the sense that you have authority and skill in your field of choice. If blogging is your thing, go ahead and do it — but you need to do it well or it isn't worth it (ie. nobody will care).

Thanks Destiny.
I agree with you jnadeau, you are required to blog well if you wish to achieve good results, but that should be a given, seeing as you need to design/code/write well to get good results as a freelancer. Everything requires effort.

Great article! Very nice looking blog as well, will be checking it out from time to time. I really liked the article talking about how to avoid errors while writing. Not enough time is spent on proofreading in many publications. Best of luck!
