Email sync - Mobile Me?
Hey, does anyone know of an app that will automatically sync my emails? When I read one, I want it marked read on my iPhone, laptop, and desktop. It's really getting annoying reading the same email.
I think mobile me does this, but I don't read emails via browser, but by a mail program. Does anyone know if Mobile Me does this, or of a program that does?
Regards,
Nick

Yes Mobile Me does this. When I read an email on my iPhone it's marked as read when I go on my laptop.

What about reading it on your laptop? Is it marked on your iPhone and PC? How many emails can you have, and do you have to use the online version or can you use an email client?

I use Mail in OS X for my emails and it is marked as read. You don't have to use the online version. But everything stays in sync for me between my iPhone, Mail.app, and even the online version.
What are the Benefits of IMAP?
Since you can view just the header information without downloading the entire message, you can delete large messages without wasting time for downloading them. Also, because the messages remain on the server, you can access your mail from multiple locations and ensure that your messages are always available for you. And, with the messages remaining on the servers if your computer crashes you don’t have to worry about losing your messages.

You need to setup a IMAP account. Unless you do it with MobileMe.
Google GMail does this perfectly, and it's easy to setup...

Lol, I didn't know IMAP did the same thing, free. I will just stick with that.

Well ya, any service that provides IMAP will generally do something very similar. The advantages of MobileMe is keeping my contact list, emails, and calendar synced on everything.
