Me and Indy are having a discussion on the top 5 powerful countries and I would like to have yall vote on what you think is: im asking in terms of military power etc.

USA wouldn't go to war with China because that would be suicide. Not because of weapons but because everything is imported from China. They would kill their economy and the whole of Europes lol. There would be some serious problems if that happened.

Either Or. Despite vast numbers (As exemplified in the Opium War), China is not fully modernized. As a result, China would not even be a threat to the United States off of its soil. The United States would have a hard time, however, defeating China on it's own soil.

I would say within about ten years economically, politically, and militarily, China will surpass or be up to par with th United States.

Anyone who says that no country could take on the United States (or China, for that matter) is unbelievably ignorant. I guess that's the smell of blind US nationalism (and yes, I'm a US citizen).
