  Old  Infraction

I've already sent a PM back to the person who gave me the infraction, but this is a request of the staff.

If you are giving someone an infraction, make sure you are both giving it to the right person and for the right reason. You will notice I have nearly 5,000 posts, but I just got an infraction for 10 posts. I'd like to never see this happen to anyone again.

If it wasn't a mistake, then please, just don't make up some random reason and try to be as detailed as possible. I don't, and I'm sure others don't, understand why I got one based my post.

Thanks,
Andrew

Yup. http://www.grabup.com/uploads/c00ff7...8e15415d5f.png

Also, I must add, the post wasn't even in the marketplace.

Andrew R, I am fairly sure it was a mistake and certainly not intended to you. I am sure the mod who did it will speak with you either about the wrong infraction or the incorrect reason.

It was pretty obviously a mistake, based on what you've told us, and will undoubtedly be revoked as soon as whoever can do those things reads the message you sent. What, may I ask, was the purpose of posting about this publicly? Especially considering that you already sent a private message back to the person who gave you the infraction in the first place.

P.S. How about writing congratulatory posts for staff members who do something right thing? It'd make a pleasant change from the omg I've been banned, lol posts.

He wanted to show us how on top of things this staff is here.

Edit: Also, I could've added on that I'm glad, in a way, that I DID get an infraction, as if it was meant for the other person who created the thread I posted it, then I commend the staff for being more harsh and issuing an infraction rather than just deleting the thread.

Salathe: Rather than messaging all of the staff individually or just asking them to post in the staff section, I thought it could be beneficial to try to reach more staff members by posting this to just have them double check who they are giving an infraction to.

Also, Ryan, I'm not going to say. Plus, I don't think he is stupid at all (I think he is one of the better staff members, anyway), he just made a simple mistake, which is why I would like to have the staff be more aware of what they are doing.

I logged on to see a message saying I got an infraction, and was rather 'nervous' (to a lesser degree, however), and I don't want that to happen to anyone else.

Also, Salathe, I'm not sure if you meant to make the comparison, but this is no where near the 'omg I've been band, lol' posts. I simply stated that I would like it reversed or the reason to be revised so I don't get an infraction for no reason or for the wrong reason. It also serves as a request of staff to be more careful.

Lastly, I think the reason why there are no congratulatory posts for staff is most likely because of the lack of evidence that they do much. Besides the bigger things like a new skin, etc, you don't see many posts deleted. You see them once, but you don't notice when they are deleted or move, so it doesn't catch your attention.

In order for that to happen, the staff has to do something right first.

This issue has been resolved. I have went in and investigated the issue then revoked the infraction after seeing what had occurred. I can honestly say I'm sure it was a simple mistake.
