Old  Hosting co. suing for neg. reviews?

What is this business coming to when a hosting company pursuises legal action against a former customer for posting a negative review about them? Also the hosting company doing backround checks on their former customers.

it depends, if the customer is being immature and has been pathetic, then the hosting company is in the right.

you can be sued for your immature actions, depending on what they are of course.

Actions and freedom of speech are two different things.

What about:
www.paypalsucks.com

You can even use a companys logo and the company cant sue you for sights like paypalsucks.com.

Paypal cant sue them because there is something in the United States Constitutuion called freedom of speech.

As long as the information isn't false the company shouldnt be able to do anything about it. If it's opinionated the company can't do anything about it.

Mike, your issue is with that particular hosting provider. How about keeping it between yourselves? A previous thread here was closed because of your posting.

Actions and freedom of speech are indeed two different things, you're smart. Libel is another thing altogether.

Hmm I read the other thread and it seems to me you're in the wrong. You first of all threatened them to go around giving them a bad name. In my opinion its a what? $10-$20 that you were refunded so no big deal they didnt do anything bad. In my opinion if you get a refund then you're not entitled to complain. But thats just my opinion.
