Type, PS vs The Web

Hey

I am not sure wether this is just me but I really hate the overall type look in photoshop.

As a novice designer last year I was designing all my web pages with aliased text i.e. smooth,sharp etc.

And was then adviced to design with anti-aliased text as it is more practical and relevent to actual type on the web.

However the look of say Arial, size 12, regular - Anti-aliased in photoshop compated to the look live on the web is very different, and in my opinion is very annoying from a designers point of view.

Maybe I am using a wrong setting or something?

Please help me on this issue
