I'll do a bunch of css and then throw it into the html doc. Fix some errors, clean it up. Then I'll move on.

I do a section of the page than look it over in Firefox quickly and continue. Sometimes I forget to check it in IE and I am forced to track down some imaginary problems which can be very tedious to find.

I use Notepad++ to code or Dreamweaver...

But first I make a basic layout with CSS, then I start slicing and placing the different images, test on different browsers, validate the code, bug fix and that's it...

Usually i code in different sections of a design, i split it up into three sections.

Header
Content
Footer

Once i have fully coded one section i cross-browser check it and then move onto the next part.

The header and footer is shared between all the other content pages to make things easier. I do that myself.

I program the main page template in XHTML and CSS and then preview it in IE6, IE7, Firefox and Opera. If it looks good in all of the browsers I then validate the page to make sure I don't have any stupid programming errors.

From there I slice the page into a header, index and footer file. The last step is to program the template for the sub-page. I then splice it together with the header and footer and validate.

I then only re-check the pages in the different browsers when specifying different attributes in CSS that I know will look different in different browsers. When I finish I validate every page and make sure they look good in all browsers.

I code in Opera, I then test in IE and for Firefox etc I test with browsershots.org

I code the html/xhtml code first and then put basic css on it to see how it will look, and then I go on from that.
