I'm in the debating process. I have a media center PC, so that limits me to some of the more expensive versions. Plus I'm not sure if I want to risk a new OS on release, especially one from Microsoft.

That's what I was thinking too. I figured I'd wait and see what people are saying before I rushed out and bought it right away.

Actually, this is a great OS, I played with it for a bit at best buy, and it impressed me. I'm not sure about long-term performance with lots of apps though.

It does no doubt appear to be the best Microsoft OS to date, but just playing around with it at Best Buy wouldn't really do justice for the issues that have been apparent in earlier OS releases.

One thing I kind of stuck by that has served its purpose is that a name of one of Microsoft's own programs is one heck of an oxymoron... Microsoft Works.

I think for now I'm going to stick with my dual-boot of XP and Fedora Core 6 until Vista has been out for a bit.
