  Old  Buymyad.com worth it?

Just wondering what everyone thinks about this creation? I just noticed it on another forum...following up from the milliondollarhomepage saga.

Do you think buying advertising space on this site is worth it? The idea is the price goes up each time an advertiser bids on it. However....there doesn't seem to be a guarantee on how long your advert will be up for.

Thoughts?

i suppose the idea of the website is a good one, but i wouldnt be stupid enough to put say £5 for advertising if i knew i could be outbidded for the advertising in about half hour.

I just put an ad on it. For the price it really can't be beat.

I am a little worried because it isn't automatically added to the site, so if this guy sleeps for a while, or does whatever he is doing for too long, our ad may never get shown on the homepage because a higher bid may come in before he makes ours live.

Good idea, I've got an idea which is quite like this one... but got some more ideas brewing now though lol.

I wouldn't bid because I have no site to advertise atm.

He definately needs to make it automatic.

Yeah, but the advertisers aren't getting many clicks.

We've only gotten 8 uniques so far.

Actually, I've just looked into the site and it's kinda stupid the way he's done it...

I mean, to bid you actually have to send payment to him, and because it's all manually done, and he ads the ads manually, even if you send payment it may never appear on the frontpage as someone mite just send payment after you...

And how high do you think people will bid... unless he's getting 1,000 - 10,000 + uniques I don't think they will bid very high...

I mentioned this in an earlier post.

In regards to the second part, so far we have only recieved 14 unique click throughs. So it's not looking too good. However right now we are at $0.07 per click so it might end up being worth while.

Saw this at Namepros. The site looks too unprofessional and quickly put together to be anything more than average. I think it could be a good idea though - I'm just not sure how many visitors you can get to a site like that - and the only thing making the site worthwhile is how many visitors it can get.

It gets next to nothing. I got a total of 19 unique people to our site from it. It average $0.05 by the end of the ad. However, this is untargeted traffic so it should have been near $0.01 to be considered worthwhile.
