I had a website a while back that offered free content that was useful to college students and freelance designers. I posted flyers at the local university to advertise that service, and it actually worked out very well.

So yeah...flyers can be good too.

Capture a market and show your expertise and credibility. When you found a good foundation for your site, people will trust you and your site and will pass on to many people their trust.

Traffic will certainly increase because they know that you can provide what they need.
