  Old  AJAX - The Future?

Hey all,

Since the release of the groovy new code thingy - what do you think of it?

Do you think its the future of web designing, and do you think it will become a popular feature among websites?

I think it'll become really popular behind the scenes somewhat, in control panels and such

Well its a relatively new coding language, based around Java (I think) or html...

It can automate things without reloading the page.

For example, vB have used it in thier quick reply boxes. You type your reply in the quick reply box, click post, a message will appear below saying 'Please wait - Posting Quick reply', then within 2 seconds the page updates (without a refresh) automatically with your reply.

There are quite a few other example of this, but AJAX is capable of so much.

AJAX is deffinitly not new, it's a combination between XML and JavasScript, which have been around for years. It just recently got popular. It's not a new technology but it is getting more and more popular these days.
