vBulletin is the best imo, better security imo.

A site i know called soccer-art had ipb software and corrupted 3 times, then they switched to vBulletin.

IPB has a better backend.

We use vBulletin all over the place and definitely recommend it for the price.

It may seem like a lot of money when so many other free products are available, but after seeing what happens with some of those free products, it's usually worth it to pay the money for constant, reliable development.
