Id do it for free, like I was slated to do the whole time. I wanted to put it up for portfolio work and the like. We started on the design recently, so were definitely gunna own during the presentation. The info I got from Trifecta said they arent even going to write half the features that I was planning on writing...

Well we still have to do the design and the static pages and everything. So were custom building a cms for all the committees and such (which they dont expect, they expect the tech board to update static html files, which is bull) and we're also going to do the registration machine. When we present it to the board, well show them all weve done and make sure we stress it didnt take a whole lot of time so they feel like asses for paying that much money. And I like the newspaper idea. Im not sure if the PASC organisation is run by tax dollars, but if it is, Im sure there will be at least a little outrage.

Btw, here are the websites of the parties involved.

Looks like they could use a redesign themselves. Maybe they should pay someone $125k for that too!

23 validation errors. Ultimately though, they seem like a decent company. Its just a little overkill to ask the people who do drug and patient records for pfizer to do this.

im not taking sides but i want to mention that a school would do this simply because of the level of proffesion. I'm not saying you wouldn't do a good or better job but this company is more reliable. I'm guessing the schools signed a deal with them and could trust that everything will be done at the right time

although they should have let you try first

I think the main problem is that last year, the conference was run by an idiot tech sec. who decided to design it themselves and because of this, database errors almost sent the conference to the trash. But they saw my credentials, and I believe if our school had let me go to the board meeting where they discussed this, I could have swayed the otherwise. Even still, they could have hired one of the many other reliable professionals that wouldnt charge nearly as much money.

Ok guys, I will do it for $10K. Anything below that is steal!

This just proves that big businesses are sometimes run by idiots! If they gave it to their own students as a project and spent 125K on other things for the school, wouldn't they look smarter? well you cannot blame idiots, they are created idiots, not their fault!

ASnd keepus posted.

$125,000? I don't even understand how someone could change that much, and have someone actually do it.

I am sickened.
