Either that or lack of exposure.

Freelance Writing? Well that's a new one, the only Freelance Writing i've ever heard of is the stuff the ugly main bitch from Sex and the City done in the TV show. It seems pretty interesting though, since i do enjoy writing stuff. Any resources for this kind of stuff available?

I don't think the problem is a lack of writers- more that people don't understand the importance of content within a website structure. The web is saturated with good designs, but not many have the content to actually provide a rounded experience for the viewer.

Also, writers, like myself, have no way of getting their services known- short of spending money on domains, and a design for that website- because once again, the almost, dare I say it, shallow surfers of today cannot see past a fancy exterior.

The culmination of a lack of writers- to a certain extent- and the problems above have led to the visually-orientated company websites we see today.

You make a good point about shallow surfers Ben, when people show me websites its not to say : "the coding is clean" or "the content is good", it's always about "this site looks awesome".

Hello

Being a content writer myself I understand the importance of it.. and the amount of significance it is paid, nowadays people are looking at making their content-rich.. but it still lacks the diginity it requires.. I personally feel it will be duly reach its peak point in years to come..
