I think it is also the forum skin, very attractive. Other forums have rubbish skins and they do put you off posting

Well, when I was a newbie I joined but posted fairly little. I came here mainly for the business content side of posts and didn't contribute very much. However, now that I have become more active, I enjoy this place because of the sheer maturity of the members. I look at the members ages and see numerous 14 and 15 year old who do not show the immaturity of their counter-parts that I see on many other forums. I also enjoy that this forum has almost NO political discussion at all.
All-in-all, the forum does what it was intended. It is a business related forum which has information-wealthy members who do not act immature. Prior to this month, TalkFreelance was going rather inactive. But now the activity has increased (I assume because of the contests) and it seems to be "popping". I also like to add, the admin and moderators aren't complete asses to the members, which I have experienced at other places power-hungry communities.
Now my goal is to become a recognized member of the community.

'nuff said.
I would like to add that the visual style of the forums attracts me aswell.

where do i start, i joined a while back, not sure on the exact date.. i would ponder around looking on the site a couple times a day and not posting. i just kept coming posted every now and then, but once this christmas promotion started i realized how good of a site/the members are. I still dont post a lot but it will gradually pick up. Also the forum skin like others have posted attracts me unlike some sites that have crappy ones make me not want to post for some reason. But all in all its a good site, great owner, good members, and a fun place
