WS_FTP Pro 2006. Sure it's not free but IMO it's the best, (2007 may well be better, haven't looked at it). Have been using WS_FTP since 1997.

I use a mac app called CyberDuck. It has all my needs, which is basically just drag and drop.

I use FireFTP (Firefox Extension) or the one built into Windows Explorer (type an ftp address into the address bar).
