  Old  Vista IE issues

For some reason, my IE keeps getting messed up. One day its fine, the next it wont open, just keeps crashing. I fixed it before using a microsoft program, but I can't find it anymore. Well, it crashed AGAIN. I tried just downloading/installing IE8 and it says I can't, because there is a never version already on the computer (I cant find it anywhere in program files, or even in my control panel program list). Help me please.

My IE is really slow, I think you should switch to using firefox or chrome. Chrome is really quick.

I use Firefox, but still need to test my sites in IE, which is why I still NEED to get it to work.

Try resetting IE...
Click start, type inetcpl.cpl, hit enter, navigate to the "Advanced" tab, press the "Reset..." button, check the option "Delete Personal Settings", click "Reset".

Alternatively, you could use this program.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/9362...xItForMeAlways

If that does not solve your problem. You have a few options:
1) Try the steps mentioned in this article: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b/957700/en-us
2) Perform a System Restore

Lastly, if none of the above works Contact Microsoft or Reinstall Windows

To uninstall an IE version, you have to go to the installed updates control panel and remove it from there along with any sub updates it may rely on
