  Old  Problem with CSS

http://www.browseproof.com/proxyin/

I am working on coding this but there are some problems.

1. In firefox/IE there is way too much space at the bottom of the layout.
2. the blue/light blue area is expanding wrong

I've read many times that you should first setup the site according to one particular browser, and then go back in and work on hacks/fixing issues with other browsers.

Still, looking at it in FF, it is all messed up.

Probably best to do as suggested, code for half-decent browser such as Opera, Firefox etc, then go back and do Internet Exploder (or vice versa). That way, if there's something that REALLY won't go, you can just use conditional statements, although it's best to try and do the XHTML/CSS without these
