  Old  Best CMS?

Does anyone know of any lightweight but good Content Management Systems? I am not talking about Wordpress or something similar, as that is geared more towards blogging than content management. Any advice would be great.

Thanks.

I unfortunately haven't use it myself but I have heard that Jomoola is good, Or I could custom build you one.

I don't think I need a custom CMS, since it won't be used to the degree a custom one would, but I will investigate Jomoola though, thanks.

mamboo and joomla are two good ones, however these have become very huge, and what I belive most of the people will find it difficult use when customizing different parts.

I am currently developing a new CMS, which will be FREE and OPENSOURCE, and it will be extrmely easy to use for full management of your website, I have already designed a couple of very eye cathing designs for it. I will probably post it here for you to download, it may take a few more days..

but for now if you like you can use joomla or mamboo..

cheers

This is extremely lightweight, based on similar structure to QuickCart. I recently developed QuickCart into an eCommerce site: http://www.knitnak.co.nz

I think mambo and joomla are rather clumsy to work with...

Have a look here ( http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Script...ent/index.html ) - there are hundreds available.

If you need something more high end than mambo/jomoola, then look at Typo 3 or ezpublish - a lot more of a learning curve, but very powerful.
