this is what i have completed so far for my friend's band. it's mostly finished, i just hust have a couple things to tweak here and there.

the hardest part was probably trying to get the news content to be visually seperate from the news headings in terms of colour, but i didn't have a lot to work with, since i wouldn't put a stroke or anything around the dates.

anyways, here she is, c&c appreciated:

The header is cool, i would like to see the text in white though...it all seems very dark to me. Aside from that, the menu is easy to read/navigate, not sure about the text colour of the content as it might be a little hard to read.

The footer looks rushed, it would be 10 x better if you spent the same amount of time on the footer as you did on the header, i think it would bring the site out alot more. It's a nice little design and you show off a good amount of skills, i just think it's lacking in actual functionality and needs another lighter colour to make it stand out.

Regards

the contrast in style between the body and the menu started to irritate me, and looking at the menu, it's completely impractical to build the body like that. hopefully this one flows from top to bottom a lot better than the previous one. i think it does.

i also changed the footer, trying to put more detail in it.

I prefer the footer, you did a good job to blend that into the scheme of things more...although i don't like the menu as much, perhaps use the original one but decrease the font size?

Ok, i have a question, that punkish looking font, where do you get it from. Also what was this site created in? Photoshop im guessing?

the font is called base02, but some parts of it have been customized for that layout. and it's 100% photoshop.
