Xbox 360 logo

Hi, I am currently making an xbox 360 forum and skin and am wondering if using the xbox logo for a part of it would be illegal, what if I included the "tm" after it? I am only asking because it would perfect for part of the design but I do not want to get a law suit from microsoft

Including the tm I guess would make it even worse.

Its a mind field using these different logos - you never know they may make it available as means to promote itself.

Does that mean I can use it? XD

I believe you cannot use it. You do not own the rights to the image.

Thats what I mean't.

But its always worth checking with them, incase they do have a version available for use - good promotion for them.

Without checking, i'd advise you stay well away.

Okay, I have a better Idea then XD

But your actually providing business to microsoft though. its not like your having the xbox logo on a ps3 site.

Send the webmaster an email explaining that you want to use it, show the site etc, you do need permission to use it.

E-mail them, and also you have to add a kind of disclaimer in the footer like "all logo's are owned by their respectful owners and we are in no way affiliated with MS etc"

I just wouldn't use it. They've sued for simply insinuating their name and won.
