I'm not exactly sure how to explain this, but I'm going to say it as best I can.
It is possible to make a browser display a wrong URL in the address bar. For example you can make a browser display the MySpace login page,
http://login.myspace.com/ind..., in the address bar when you are really viewing a website located somewhere else, like
http://someones.scam.site.com/fake-myspace-login.php.
When I say the browser's address bar I mean this area:
I am not saying
EmoticonShack's MySpace is a scam. In fact everything looks legit to me. I just wanted to make sure everyone knows that even if your browser is displaying the correct URL, you may not be viewing the website you think.
The only way to 100% guarantee you are viewing the correct website is to manually type in the address.
