  Old  e-commerce and content management

I'm setting up a website for client who wants e-commerce and will need a content management system so she can edit the site herself. I'm looking at Adobe Contribute or Joomla. Joomla offers lots of modules but Contribute looks like it would integrate nicely with dwt files. I haven't selected the e-commerce package yet. Which would be the better CMS in this case and which e-commerce?

thanks,
Christina

We've had nothing but trouble with contribute to be honest and unless there's a team of people that are going to update it its probably overkill.

Joomla imo would be the best bet, you could use the virtuemart plugin for the ecommerce side too. The admin panel for Joomla can be a bit daunting, especially for less tech savvy users. If you do use Joomla, make sure you add some tuition time into the total cost so you can sit down with them and show them how to use it, it will save you from getting phone calls saying "how do I do this?" every ten minutes.

Joomla is not a very good shopping cart, you should check the website in first made with this system in the virtumart forum!
