Can you have too many blogs to post to. How many is too many, I currently post good content postings to about 70 blogs over a period of a month, I do not post to all of them but have found that more and more are being totally spammed. This will effect the overall weight of blogging eventually and although it is a good way to get back links most of the spammers do not care if the subject is on topic or whether its in any way relevant. You must have all seen them putting adverts for tooth whiteners (just an example) in forex trading blogs etc. It will kill the blog and its weight with search engines. I now only post to trusted blogs that I know will not be spammed because they are strictly monitored and are on topic with my sites.
I'm not seeing a problem here....IMHO there's no such thing as posting on too many blogs. Now, spam on the other hand, that's a different issue altogether. You're gonna get spammed the more popular your blog gets. But, it's not like you aren't able to manage that.
For me one is enough. I think though that if I had more blogs it would help me beat 'bloggers block' since I could vary my subject matter a bit more...
