But there are others: Textpattern and MODx for example. They don't have quite as large of a following, but those are also an open source CMS. I'm working with a client who wants to use MODx for his business for example.

Well, Relating to Christians post, he is saying pretty much what I would have said.

Hehe.. This might be a bit long I am in this weird sort of typing mood.

I use wordpress for alot of sites too mainly becuase it is very customizable. Pretty much can be used for anything except taking you to work and back.

The code is standard and neat so you don't really have to be a genius to edit it and lots of people code template for it pretty cheap. I have seen sites like cssremix.com using wordpress - It isn't just a blog software it is sort of a CMS. They are also making a forum system called bbpress.

Well.. not as long as I said but you kind of get the idea what wordpress does.

Wordpress is good in terms of its features, but i do have a negative experience with it, as my blog was suspended.

Well it's unique and easy to edit and add modules if you know some php you can turn it into a CMS... it great! I am currently working with Wordpress for a client
