  Old  Simple Wordpress Codex Help

So I have a static HTML/CSS page I've coded into Wordpress and I am at least able to call the right category and display the post title, time and the content within that post in the right setup, but even with the showposts=3, it's still repeating the same post multiple times down the page.

This is extremely urgent and I would love to talk to a Wordpress coder on this who could point me in the right direction on how to modify my existing template to display three posts from my "Blog" category on this page. That's it and the rest will be content pages where I'll be able to run with it.

*through trial and error, I have already solved the issue*

Thanks guys!
