went to google and found a template<to practice>
so i was wondering what you guys use to code it
and if u have any tuts

The most common is xhtml/css but if you don't know either I'd recommend you start learning html first and start building simple templates.
When learning PHP I used http://www.tizag.com/
It's very useful indeed and it has loads of tutorials for html

i mean like how do u guys code a template
slice it in photoshop
then code in dreamweaver?

and i know html im in my comp programming class right now

Yes, in Photoshop you would slice the layout in certain ways (entire banner, menu buttons, content headers, footer). You'd then jump into Dreamweaver or another HTML editor and code the website using HTML/CSS. Typically you're jumping back and forth between the editor and Photoshop, grabbing hex codes for backgrounds and making changes to sliced images. Hope that helps..
