  Old  Safari 3 Beta

Since I don't see a thread for it, if there is one - post a link for me here?

So, how many of you are using it already? Anyone -not- using it plan to? It runs on Windows OS now as well, so I'm curious to know if there are any non Mac owners who have gone and installed it (Yes.. I meant converted, shh!)

Converted. No! Its just useful having it on my computer for testing my coding sites on it. Instead of using www.browsershots.org of www.browsrcamp.com.

It's definitely way easier than using Browsershots, so from a developer standpoint, it's great. It runs pretty slow on my PC though and is quite a resource hog; I blame part of that on the GUI, but I'm not really sure.

I used it all day on its release to see if I could possibly convert. Maybe after it's final release (but I hope to have an iMac by then) because it's just too buggy now.

I've been hearing its running slow for people. I haven't used it on a purely windows system yet so I have no comparison. Running it on the windows partition of my Mac doesn't truly count I suppose :P

I like it. But I can't get fully used to the ClearType-ish text. It's why I don't like using Internet Explorer 7, either.

Looks like a very handy site.

It's been having lots, and lots, of bugs on my Macbook. For instance, anytime I click a bookmark nothing happens, it always takes 2-3 tries. Sometimes pages never load at all and the whole browser crashes.

We actually discussed Safari 3 beta in the latest The View Finder Podcast episode which can be found here, if anyone wants to give it a listen.

It's a beta, of course you are going to find bugs. Just report them to Apple and if more people have the problem, it will be fixed.

How do you know it didnt keep crashing due to the same problem?

That makes one bug to fix not many.
