  Old  Strictly Image Based Counter?

I tried searching, But I couldnt find one, I was wondering if there were a type of image hit counter (You have viewed this site XXX times!) STRICTLY IMAGE BASED?

So instead of the IMAGE URL in the code being

www.hitcountersite.com/2848443

It would be

www.hitcountersite.com/2394.jpg

Or if there was a strictly based text counter that ran off of pure html?

Reason Being, (Pathetic I know) But I want to put on my myspace page something like "This is the 'xxxx' time my myspace has been viewed."

But myspace wont let me use the regular counters, because they are solely image based, and I cant find any pure html counters...

Pure HTML counters aren't possible (as far as I know) without use of Javascript or any programming language. Image based is possible if mod_rewrite is used to make it seem like a PHP file is an image, while the PHP outputs an image.

HTML has no dynamic capability whatsoever, there is no way to make a counter with it alone. If you can use PHP, make use of the imageGD library. But I assume you cant since its myspace.

I have an idea:

If you have a site / web host you could do the PHP there and use .htaccess (modrewrite) to form the image, and then link to the image from myspace.

Yes / No ?

EDIT: Scratch that - wasn't thinking properly...!
