  Old  New Computer

Hey, I'm getting a new computer, but I'm wondering if anyone can view my stats and see if there is something I could downgrade with the same results, or upgrade for about the same price. The only thing I left out of this is a harddrive, which I'm looking at now.

You're also missing your RAM + CPU...i'll help you out when you've added everything.

You can definetely cut down on your PSU, don't make the mistake I made. I bought a 680W thinking it's what I needed and now when I turn my computer on the whole house fuses lol. Go for around 480W. You can probably cut back on your GFX card aswell.

Seb: Yeah, I really only put it on there for now. I really want one where I can choose which cables to use. I'll look for a new one now..

Wildhoney: I'm getting two eventually, but I just need a system that works for games at the moment so I can start playing again. I'm seeing if I can find a cheaper SLI one though.

Edit: Found a nice 600w (still a lot, but I'd like to buy one that could last me a while if I ever upgrade again soon) COOLERMASTER for about $60-70, so I'll update that in the spreadsheet. Also looking at other motherboards.

I highly recommend the 580W Hiper Modular Type R for your PSU. You can switch the cables like you wanted, and it's one of the quiestest, coolest PSUs on the market. Great performance + it's slightly cheaper than the one on your list

I highly recommend the Logitech Laser Mouse + Keyboard combo. One of the best investments I've made in hardware! I've changed the batteries only two or three times in the past 8 months.
