Hmm first off, you need to fix the header, the logo is off center for me, second you need to make the sidebar more clean, in other words but the sidebar content into categories, and do you really need the clock? Get rid of the drop shadows, in my opion theyre really ugly when there at 100% opacity and in black, also you need to make the blog titles stand out more cause atm they look like one big post, once you do that you should have a nice blog

You should put some sort of distinction between the main content and the side bar.

Forget about the design and aesthetics for now. Make sure the site is optimized for search engines. Next, get a bunch of links from directories and other sites. Finally, post at least 1 time per day. The larger the volume of pages you have in the SERPs, the greater amount of traffic. And traffic = money.
