What about if the hosting offers "unlimited" bandwidth etc... You should also consider if the hosting company is overselling as well

I recently started up with a host with unlimited everything per say.. The support is okay (binds get a little tiring after your 3rd chat with a tech). They don't support third party SSL certs at all which i find quite irritating. The service for 3.50 a month is good but i believe they oversell because my site always seems to bog at certain points of the day. So do your homework when looking for a decent web host.

Yep indeed. There's no such thing as truly unlimited.

If you can find legit reviews by real users with a great experience then I'd say thats a great start. Then I'd look into a money back guarantee, service uptime, and support response time.

The most important part is don't fall into their Unlimited space and bandwidth marketing gimmicks...

One tip we would like to inform customers is don't go for the template site. There is a style that most hosts seem to duplicate. The customer service rep image, the unlimited text, the immense amount of options included without the large fee. All play a role in the creation of a bad host. Look for the quality hosts that do their own development, have great customer service and hardware. Taweem.

Look out for these issues for a good web host firm:
(1)Having a strong reputation
(2)Equipment you can trust
(3)Infrastructure you can rely upon
(4)Price
(5) have your domain registered in a reputable domain registrar
(6) have your website backed up daily offline to your PC
(7) make sure the host has 30 day money back guarantee
(8) $1 hosting package
(9) fast speed
(10) good support

That's it. Nothing else to worry about.
