The best camera?
Anyone got any idea what I should get for my next camera, high performance wise?

There is no "best" camera. You'll have to be more specific. What kind of photography do you do? Are you a professional photographer or do you just want a camera to snap at parties etc? If pro (though I assume not, as you wouldn't be asking a forum of web developers for photography advice), what kind of thing(s) do you shoot?

Too little info, but the d3 is wicked. The wife swears by it.

I am using Yaskhika since 1995. Its results are still best.

I'd go with the EOS 5D Mark II if your budget is large enough, maybe buy a nice lens too

I'm a big fan of the Canon 40/50D for the price/performance ratio. At least, for higher end performance.
For actual price/performance any cheap P&S will destroy anything else. A 40D with a nice lens should ru n you about $1200 right now though.

I asked this question to a few people i knew who did photography on the side as a job and they told me to start with get a Nikon d40 , it may be expensive if you will but im willing to save the money. For christmas i got a Canon powershot a590 which takes really good pictures, i love taking sunset/rise alot and it serves its purpose.
