I agree, if you're worrying about ads or whatever, just use Adblock Plus or something. However, I don't for-see ads being added anytime soon though. On the other hand, what I wouldn't mind seeing is, a PayPal button some where, where users that feel generous (That want to see Talkfreelance grow and live longer) can contribute towards various "fixes" and etc for the community in general.

I do have Adblock Plus... I'm just in disbelief that someone would WANT more ads on websites they visit.

Removal of the 1 minute waiting period between reporting posts would be nice.

If this is possible, I'd like to see this change as well. It's easier for anyone that way. The quicker the reports are sent in, the faster we can handle things.

If it means bringing a little more money into talkfreelance to help build it up then I don't mind the single line of text being "shoved into my face".

If you don't want people to post rubbish in the market place don't let them. Don't allow members to reply to threads but let them start them. Then implement some auction system whereby a member can up the current bid.
Edit: How does AdBlock actually help talkfreelance again? Denying members from seeing the ads cuts the revenue coming in from them. Expect more to be done around the forums with more funding.

Suggestion for using AdBlock is really only a personal preference. If someone is annoyed by the ads, they can use AdBlock. I use it. However, it doesn't mean every member will use it, nor will they have to use it either. But, I suggested about placing a PayPal donation button some where on the board.

This gives members the chance to donate a little bit towards fixing up the place, if they want to help of course. One little PayPal button some where out of the way is a little better / nicer then a few ads in various places.

Modded vBay for the win! That'd be a nice base for the marketplace imo.
