 AdminFusion Merge with Best-Board
Wow, this sure brings a new level of ball-playing field:
Some of you may have already heard of Best-Board, some of you may have not. Either way, Best-Board is a community quite similar to ours here at AF. They started just a couple weeks before us, I believe, and have some impressive numbers and resources.
Well, for the last few days, we have been talking with the owner of Best-Board, Lee D, and we have decided to combine forces...instead of competing against one another, we're going to combine for one big super mega-power...or something
Lee is the owner of many other big-boards, as you might already know...and if you do not know of him, you can go to his blog to read more about him as well as see his other forums.
So what does this mean for AF? Well, first of all, it means an additional 3,000 members and 30,000 posts. Aside from that, as already mentioned, with Best-Board comes many great skins for our members to download. The AdminFusion name and design will remain in place. And aside from all of that, comes Lee himself. Lee and I will now co-own AdminFusion. The current AF staff will remain, and we will not immediately seek more staff, although we do anticipate the need for them shortly after the merge.
We have no estimated time of completion on the merge, as technicalities have not yet been addressed, but I'm sure it will be a while before everything is complete. Your account will not be touched, and we will let you know when the merge will occur.
This is a great move for both AdminFusion and Best-Board, as you will surely notice in no time.

That's the main reason they did it - TheAdminZone is currently #1 but after two months of this merge, AdminFusion will be #1.

AdminFusion was probably one of the fastest growing admin forums I've ever seen. It grew to huge proportions in less then a month.
Very impressive. Good luck on the merge.

It's not an easy process, but yes, it can be done...at least when you are merging into vBulletin...I'm not sure about other software - you should definitely get a hold of your competitors and discuss
