  Old  Table-less css design issue... I posted this at cssbeaty as well...

Hey everyone. I know someone will be able to diagnose this in like 2 seconds and I'll feel like a retard.

Im doing a DIV and CSS design as seen here . Now, I haven't tryed it in IE6 but in Firefox 1.5.0.6 the white part (.contentlower) spans from right under .content to right above .footer... or at least that's what im shooting for. as you can see, it also spans like 300 or 400 pixels below .footer as well. Any idea why?

Seems fine to me unless you are saying the .contentlower is stretching down too far. Maybe have something to do with your ( height: auto; ) code you have there.

it always takes so much experimenting

I love coding sites in css but sometimes stuff happens and im like ???

It takes playing around with but with regards to your actual q its prob something to do with height as above
