  Old  Freelancing, very good pay

Hey, ive been freelancing for alittle while now... im also in a partnership and ive done alot of work with my partner and made a small sum..

But for the past few weeks ive been making alot more then i usaly do... 200£ just scraping around on the internet.. thats alot of money for a 15 year old kid to get paid in 1 week.. but it hasnt just been a lucky week for me, because the week before i made over 175£.. and all this cash isnt going down very well because im saving to get a 1960's vespa.. (thats right a 'mod' motorbike) its only a 50cc, but im getting a converstion kit for it...

Any other thoughts on this subject ? (the freelancing one )

Soon, I hope to be trying to sell some designs, I think ill start off low costs to see how things work with paypal and exchanging the source files etc, then when I know how it all goes maybe ill try and build it up.

I know a few people like you, members here that have earned £1,000 in a month just from freelancing... I should look for clients more...

The better you are, the more you'll earn - that's a cliche, but very true.
And clients always come back when they are happy with your service - that's where the professional approach pays.
With a good portfolio it's not so hard to find buyers for one's services.

I've found that my clients haven't been that interested in my portfolio.

I've only sold one item myself.

Someone contacted me wanting to use a picture of mine for a logo.
It was a small mom and pop business so I was nice. I still got a good amt I think for it: $130 just to make them a quick logo out of the image.

I wrote up a simple contract that said they could use it for their business only but that I still held rights to the original image to use it any way I wished as the owner. Took a bit of looking around to get the right wording too. First contract I'd ever written up on my art. I had a disc with legal forms which helped me get some of the wording and I found some sites online with contracts too. I just combined a bit of everything to get it the way I needed.

Anyhow... that's my one freelance experience.

You claim you code in XHTML but your site shows many errors and doesn't have a DOCTYPE.

I've made $200 in the past few weeks... which isn't bad to me considering I 'LOVE' designing.

I made over $2K in august, I think that selling websites / templates on forums isn't that profitable and the money is really in the custom work. Small businesses usually pay more than individuals although at the age of 15 you can't really get involved with businesses yet. (Talking about 15 year olds in general, including myself :\ )

And yes.. 200 pounds a week is alot, especially compared to other kids working at Mc Donald's for 3 bucks an hour.

In 3 years you'll be riding your bike and other people will be poor bums *grins*
