I use dreamweaver 8 and spend about 97% of my time in code view switching between code view of my site and code view of my css, then spend the other 3% just checking that things are displaying how i want them too in the WYSIWYG editor.

I use skEdit, which is pretty much Notepad with a few extras such as syntax hilighting and the like.

I don't think that phase is over, I guess most people just prefer syntax highlighting rather than no syntax highlighting at all.

I tend to reevaluate my preferred IDE every year or so, but Textpad (.com) has been my editor of choice for many years. I don't put a button on my sites to brag though
