He SCAMMED me. If you take the time to read the chat log, you'll actually find out why he scams people. It's to "pay for his education as conditions are bad in Nigeria".

This is probably the first and only proof of an actual scam by a Nigerian guy, and the reason. I thank God that I was lucky enough to find the reason, and that he was actually easy enough to pursuade to chat on Yahoo Instant Messenger. Also, it gives away his e-mail address, however, he is using a fake name under it.

I do have his address, I think, which may be real. Why else would he bother me for the package...

Those are only two out of like 6 LONG chat sessions!!!

No he sent a fake e-mail confirming that the payment was processed and cleared through PayPal. Somehow he used a hack or basically stole BidPay's identity as a company and forged their e-mail address (account@bidpay.com) into the message stating that the order was processed successfully. It was through e-mail, so he basically sent it through a program on his computer and it converted his actual e-mail address to BidPay's so it'll look like BidPay sent it.

SO, since the message was fake, the payment was too. There WAS NO payment at all, ever coming. It even says it somewhere in those chat logs. He kept saying "God will reward me" instead of him actually paying me...He scammed me, and now I'm out over $300.

I kept talking to find out more information. I'm sure this is the only chat log that is live with a scammer after they scammed the person they're talking to!!!

You can find out a lot just reading the convo, although I am not happy with what he did...

if someone needs help on here, please let me know. I didn't have a chance to read through all of this.

Basically it's a forum for people that have had problems with scams, or whatever. I'll try to do my best if you need it. We've had quite a few people get their money back, website shut down, or whatever. PM me on here, or on the scamboards site.

Kman is my name on scamboards.

EDIT - You may not advertise your own websites in this forum.

Hi my name is Lori. I've just been scammed, well I guess still in the process of one. I found a car on yahoo autos the lady wote me(later I found the same lines used in another scam), and I fell for it. I'm not sure if the bidpay transaction sent to me was right. I have the info on the guy I sent it to( it says he's the verified bidpay agent), I jsut sent the money transfer on monday, but have not received confirmation that the payment was reecived yet. I don't know what to do or who to turn to. Please write if you have time on some advice on what I should do my e-mail addy is sassyfoxie05@yahoo.com. Thank you!

wow!

Maybe people should be a LOT more cautious with buying and selling online. If you are selling, make sure the funds are in YOUR bank account BEFORE sending the item. If you are buying make sure you pay through paypal or direct credit to their account. Paypal can track transactions, and you can track your online account transactions. You have to have the receiver verified before sending. If in doubt, don't send money (and don't send large amounts of money, ever)
